"Part of what I do when I begin a design project, particularly with a historic home, is to research what the original architect had in mind when the house was built. The history of a home should be appreciated and can be put to use in the contemporary design of the house."

The use of the interesting English antiques were incorporated into the overall setting of the home, as seen in country dining room. The custom treatment of the French doors and the paint on the walls compliment the colors of the antique tapestry.
These photographs are taken from a townhouse in Society Hill, Pennsylvania built in 1963 as a replica of the original Georgian-style home that previously stood on its site. The interior design of the home reflects not only its architectural history, but also the many English antiques belonging to the owners.
Similar colors can be seen in the living room and hallway. The comfy chair was reupholstered in a green imported European fabric with rope trim and fringes. The window treatment not only coordinates in color with the faux-marbelized wall, but also the wooden blinds provide privacy for a window that faces the street.
